October 23, 2014 | Union United | Leave a comment Concord Avenue Community Space On October 19, more than 50 people attended Union United’s Community Walk to learn about the history of activism in Union Square, share stories of displacement, find out about the current redevelopment process and Union United’s community benefits agreement, and socialize with one another. With community priorities reflected at each of our stops, Union United showcased the neighborhood’s diversity and spoke on the importance of achieving equitable development so members of our community are not pushed out of the place they helped build. We would like to thank all of our members who helped plan the walk, Ebi Sushi, Cantina la Mexicana, and India Palace for making sure we were well fed, CrossFit Somerville for hosting our potluck, Alderman Mark Niedergang for joining us, our amazing speakers, and all of you who came!
